We collect information from people seeking legal services and share it with independent attorneys, law firms, and legal service networks that may contact them about their legal matter.

GetLawyersNow is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not represent you. Submitting a request does not create an attorney-client relationship with GetLawyersNow or with any attorney or law firm. An attorney-client relationship is established only when you and an attorney or law firm agree to representation.

This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who receives it, and what choices you have.

What you give us

When you complete a request form, we collect:

• A description of your legal matter and the category of the page you started from.
• Your first and last name.
• Your email address.
• Your street address and ZIP code.
• Your phone number.
• Your consent to be contacted, recorded as an electronic signature with a timestamp.

Depending on your request, your description may include sensitive information, such as details about an accident, injury, medical treatment, or other personal circumstances.

Please do not include Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or other highly sensitive details in your initial request. Share only the information needed to describe the type of legal help you are seeking.

Information you submit to GetLawyersNow is shared with third parties as described in this policy and may not be protected by attorney-client privilege. If you have questions about confidentiality, ask the attorney or law firm before sharing additional details.

What we collect automatically

Alongside the information you enter, our systems record:

• Your IP address, recorded by our intake server when your request arrives.
• Your browser’s user-agent string, which identifies your browser and operating system.
• The address of the page you submitted the form from.
• A TrustedForm certificate: a third-party record of your visit to the form, created by ActiveProspect, which documents the consent you gave and how you gave it.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on these pages. The only browser storage the pages use is what the form itself needs to work.

Why we collect it

We use your information to connect you with independent attorneys, law firms, or legal service networks that may be able to assist with your legal matter, and to enable them to contact you.

• Your description and legal category help us identify the type of legal assistance you are seeking.
• Your address and ZIP code help us identify providers that may serve your area.
• Your name, phone number, and email address allow providers to contact you.
• Your IP address, user agent, and TrustedForm certificate help us document the request and your consent and detect fraudulent submissions.

Who we share it with

We share the information you submit with:

• Independent attorneys, law firms, and legal service networks so they can review your request and contact you about your legal matter. Legal service networks may distribute your request to attorneys or law firms. These are separate businesses, and their own privacy practices govern their use of your information.
• Service providers that operate this site on our behalf, including our hosting and database provider and ActiveProspect, which issues the TrustedForm certificate.
• Law enforcement or other parties where required by law or where necessary to investigate fraud or protect someone’s safety.

More than one attorney, law firm, or legal service network may contact you about a single request. Submitting a request does not guarantee that anyone will contact you, accept your case, or offer representation.

We do not sell your information for anyone else’s independent advertising. However, sharing lead information with legal service providers or networks may be treated as a “sale” or “sharing” under California or other state privacy laws. You can request to opt out—see Your choices below.

Calls, texts, and emails

If you agree to the contact consent presented on the request form, we and the parties identified in that consent may call, text, or email you about your request. Depending on the consent you provide, calls or texts may use an automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial or prerecorded voice.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You may withdraw your consent by any reasonable means, including by telling the party that contacts you, replying STOP to a text message, or calling us at 888-918-3742. You may also need to contact an attorney, law firm, or network directly to stop communications from that party.

How long we keep it

We keep submitted requests and associated consent records for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and document consent.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner, subject to applicable exceptions—see Your choices below.

Your choices

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you and how we have used and shared it.
• Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
• Ask us to delete your information.

Deleting your information from our systems does not automatically delete information already shared with attorneys, law firms, or networks. You may need to contact them directly.

Children

This site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information, call us at 888-918-3742, and we will review and address the request.

Security

Requests are submitted over an encrypted connection and stored with access controls that limit who can read them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
